Eligibility for congregate nutrition services.
A person aged 60 or older and the spouse of the person, regardless of age, are eligible participants of congregate nutrition services. These eligible persons may eat at congregate site for a confidential contribution. The suggested contribution amount is determined by the Heritage Agency on Aging.
Meals may be available to individuals with disabilities who have not attained 60 years of age, for the suggested contribution, if they reside in housing facilities occupied primarily by the elderly at which congregate nutrition services are provided.
Volunteers of a congregate dining site may be offered a meal at a congregate meal site for a suggested contribution.
Eligibility for home-delivered meals.
An elder who is homebound by reason of illness, incapacitating disability or is otherwise isolated, is eligible to receive a home-delivered meal for a suggested contribution. The suggested contribution amount is determined by the Heritage Agency on Aging.
The spouse residing with an elder, regardless of age or condition, can also receive a home-delivered meal for a suggested contribution if receipt of the meals is in the best interest of the homebound elder.
Volunteers delivering home delivered meals may be offered a meal for the suggested contribution.
