Credit When Credit is Due

Consider it a "drivers education course for your money". Credit When Credit is Due is nationally recognized and award-winning. This is a self-study class that can be taken on-line or by using written material. The 12 chapters cover budgeting, using credit wisely, homeownership, car buying and leasing, and provides tips on how to deal with creditors if you are unable to pay your bills. Money in Motion

Money in Motion helps you develop basic money management skills. Develop goals, budgets and spending plans to help you spend money on the things that are important to you. Learn how to use credit as a money management tool. Know your rights and responsibilities when you sign a contract or loan agreement. This course meets the pre-discharge education requirements for bankruptcy filers. The course may be taken in a class or online.



Checks and Balances

Checks and Balances formerly Get Checking® is a program for consumers who have difficulty maintaining a checking account. In partnership with several local banks and credit unions, the program is designed to help people understand how checking accounts work and how to successfully manage their account. Consumers who successfully complete the program will have the opportunity to open a checking account at one of the participating financial institutions. Checks and Balances is a two part program that involves a two hour class and a personal budget assessment by a certified counselor. Click here for more information.

Other Classes

Horizons CCCS offers a variety of seminars throughout the year. Most seminars can be tailored to meet the needs and time requirements of the audience. HCCCS is available for presentations to employee groups, community organizations, schools. Contact us for more information.
