Checks and Balances

Have you had problems opening a checking account?

Do you have an account but seem to rack up overdraft fees frequently?

Horizons has partnered with several local financial institutions that have agreed to open checking accounts for consumers that have had difficulty managing their accounts. Upon successful completion of this 4 hour class (conducted over two evenings) students will be issued a Certificate of Completion, which they may take to any of the participating financial institutions.

Checks and Balances students will learn how to choose and manage a checking account, as well as basic budgeting techniques designed to help them be successful account holders. The cost of Checks and Balances is $30 per person, $45 per couple. Click here for class schedule.
